Information Processing, Analysis and Management

The focus of IPAM initiatives is to discover, initiate and accelerate the development of commercial applications for the processing, analysis and management of large volumes of disparate and distributed data at various stages of the data processing cycle for improved capabilities, products and services that lead to rapid understanding and effective decision making. IPAM technical challenge areas include:

• Biometrics: Exploit commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) biometrics and develop tools and systems to accurately and unambiguously locate, identify and track individuals to provide a differential advantage over potential adversaries
• Still and Motion Imaging: Enhance airborne still and video processing, and develop and prove products for video compression, stabilization and event recognition, including integration of information from multiple sources and modalities
• Collaborative Production and Analysis: Enable the ability of physically and geographically dispersed individuals to collaboratively work together and share information through web-based infrastructures, multi-level security architectures and systems that track processes, transactions and data flow
